How do I remove the door panel on the front left of my 1998 discovery. I need to replace the door latch mechanism. Russ

 

First remove the handle from the door (big handle you use to pull and close door), then remove the speaker, then the plastic around the inside door little handle (the one you use to open the door), after that start in the lowest corner with a flat object separating the panel from the metal. Make sure to locate the exactly where the plastic screws are and be firm and gentle when pulling the two pieces apart. They break easy. Actually I bought a tool made specifically for that purpose at Harbor Freight that is shaped like Y that works very well
