Engine Mount Question

Engine Mount Question
I have a question as to the origin of my replacement engine due to the type of motor mounts. The do not look like the ones on the original engine and the oil pump looks different. The block and heads look the same but i'm just curious as to what year and model this engine came out of.

The engine viewed at the front of the picture is from a P38 Range Rover years approximately 2000 to 2002--It has secondary air just like your D2 engine sitting behind (the give away)
The mounts and brackets are P38 but will directly interchange with the D2 arrangement as the block casting is the same.
The timing case is different so you will have to change (swap) it out so that the cooler pipes etc on your engine install will fit without modification.
The only thing I can't tell is whether the donor engine is 4,00 or 4,6. AND whether your D2 take out engine is 4.0 or 4.6 as well.
In any case when you do the change over of the timing case you will have to drop the pans on both engines to remove them.
Of course do check your change over oil pump from the D2 especially if the original failed and took out for lubrication failure. The outer rotor is prone to cracking and tearing up the parent case.
Observe the forward crank web to see 4.00 or 4.6 stamped into it to identify the swept capacity.
Hope that helps
