Default Engine swap leaking oil pump/oil pan

So I swapped the bad engine. It is an 03' DII with the killer oil pump thing. I owned the donor vehicle and the engine ran great. I put the engine in the disco and runs great. The problem is I have an oil leak. A bad one. I replaced the oil pump while I had it out (brittpart, which may be part of my problem) and installed the thing and now i have a leak that looks to be coming from the crank seal and or the front of the oil pan or both. Anyone familiar with all of this, ever have this happen? If so, is there a fix or pull it all back off and try another pump or oil pan/oil pan gasket? I suppose Im asking, is there a note somewhere that I could have missed with installing the new oil pump? Either way it looks like Im probably going to have to pull the pump back off.
Thanks

R

You should post this in the Disco 2 section of the forum. You’ll get a lot more views there. To get at the pump you removed both the pan and the front cover. Perhaps a gasket slipped on install, or the crankshaft seal got nicked? I’m not seeing how the oil pump itself could cause an external leak.

That's why Im a little befuddled here. I rolled the dice with buying a britpart pump. I may pull it and reinstall the old one and hope for the best.
