Default Fluid capacities

I recently got a 99 discovery sd with the 4.0, I want to change all of the fluids before I start driving often. I am looking for a link or someone that knows where to get a owners manual, or maybe someone has time.. I changed oil so won't need that, manly curious of the transmission and the diffs. I am finding out it is pretty hard to find info on these.. New to these, just got this one for a great deal.. thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forum.
Search and download a PDF copy of the Discovery 2 RAVE manual. This will help you immensely when working and troubleshooting issues on your D2.

Of all the vehicles I have owned or worked on, the Disco 2 is the easiest to find info on, and has the most comprehensive set of free documents I have ever seen.
Don't limit your fluids to engine, transmission, and diffs. There's also the transfer case, coolant, steering/ACE fluid, and driveshaft grease to pay attention to. Researching using this forum will help a lot -- all of these questions have been asked before.

Thank you! I noticed the manual just says v8, was there only the 4.0 in 99?

Yes. Unless you've got a diesel.

1999 was a split year for Land Rover. They made D1's to start and D2's at the end. First you need to figure out which truck you have. Square and flush door handles indicate a D1. Door handles which protrude from the side of the truck indicate a D2.

You will find all the info you are looking for in the google drive link in my signature. Have at it.

Cool. Post a build thread and ask questions in the D1 section. They are great trucks if you maintain them.
