Default Freelander starting after a jump

Hi new member Rover owner past 10 years. due to gas, my disco had to go, I decided on a two door freelander and love the vehicle. Only problem is I jumped my sons car and since then I turn the key nothing from the starter everything else on , I hold the key for anywhere from 0-6 muniutes and she fires up (strong). replaced all the yellow relays no help. looked all over the web found one listingabout the jumpimg and a srs problemcode scrambled or something. This is a common problem with the starters just no answers lets find one.. thanks Pat

Pat, I am confused, are you saying your starter won't turn over, not clicking or anything and then it will start with a lot of persistance?
