Default Fuel pump illiterate!

Hey all, Was just wondering if that orange plastic retainer ring on my 96 discovery's fuel pump twists off or prys off; as you all can easily tell, I'm no mechanic. Thanks

Twists off.
What is wrong with yours, have you also planned on replacing the fuel filter?

Took it to a mechanic and had a diagnostic run, they said the pump was toast. Thanks for the info, I thought it twist off but you never know! I did actually order a replacement filter when I ordered the pump. I am not very mechanically inclined but I figure at the least I will have a good insurance fire on my driveway!
By the way, it's standard lefty loosie right?
Thanks!

Back on the road!!!!!, I never thought I would get the fittings loose from the fuel filter; probably a good indicator that it was loooong over due for replacement. Thanks for the help.
