Fuel pump problem - {PLEASE HELP!!}
Okay so im 17 years old and i got my 1996 disco on the road FINALLY on friday...so saturday i decide to go off roading...needless to say, i hit allot of large puddles, and stalled it in a trail 30mins from home...so after calling my buddy and being towed home and cleaning it all off before my dad would notice, my dad popped the hood and saw the muddy mess i had forgotten to wash off on the engine -_-..
.
SOOOO anyway, i waited overnight, and another night, and now it is monday and it still will not start. It will turn over but not start. My dad, being a mechanic, isolated the problem to this, the fuel pump will not start when the key is on accessory, nore when it is actually cranking. Sooo basically there is no fuel being pumped from the tank to the filter, then to the engine.
SO my question is this. Is it possible that I tripped something like an auto shut-off or a relay when i was trail running, hitting bbumps, and crashing through puddles?
I heard that there is a fuel pump reset button located on the passenger side of the vehicle under the fuse box under the hood. but i didnt see one
Any help at all would be GREAT guys thanks!!!

There is no fuel pump reset.
You, especially at your age, should never get a truck and go oof road unless you are familiar with what makes it work.
There should be a inerita switch on the passenger fire wall, over by the heater hoses, try resetting it.

Haha, I know mike, your 100% right, Im not going to do it again unless im with my dad, and his 2008 Rubicon Jeep
.
The fact is, it DID happened, I learned my lesson, and now i need to figure out what steps to take from here. I will try resetting the inertia switch tomarrow morning before school. Yea, im still in school.. My dad has off tomarrow and im gunna have him work on it all day. I appreciate your knowledge mike!

Hey Mike! soo great news, my dad fixed it while i was in school today. It was something no one, or at least me, would think of...behind the cigarette lighter two wires crossed somehow and blew one of the fuses in the main fue box...the weird thing is that the fuse that blew wasnt one that had anything to do with the fuel pump...it was like the windows or something...anyway, he replaced the fuse and viola! Started up!
Also if you know anyone that is parting out their rover im looking for a brush bar and a few basic interior parts like the seat adjust handle, and the center console plastic.
THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT MIKE!!!
