Default Fully locking a freelander 2

Hi - apologies for what may be a dumb post. I have my third freelander 2 - this is a 2013 plate HSE and i have been today trying to work out how to "fully lock it", that is to lock down all the doors and activate the internal motion sensor. I have a dog so vey often only "single lock" it. I have just checked the manual and actually i could "double lock it" (which seems to generate a single beep and lock the doors from the inside as well as outside BUT not to activate the motion sensor). I have tried several times this afternoon, using my daughter as an in car guinea pig, to fully lock it. Any unopened windows close (the only diagnostic of a full lock that i know off since there are no beeps) BUT we cannot get any internal motion to be recognised. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks
