Default Is this a fusible link?!?

As the title says...is this a fusible link and should it have continuity from one pin to another? It was attached with factory tape to the Stop lamp switch suppressor....

Is this a fusible link?!?-img_20151030_172153_770.jpg

Thanks,
Tex

Fusible links look like thick wire. That's an electrical suppressor which is a capacitor and you wouldn't get continuity on a capacitor. I noticed in the Rave that the wires to/from the stop lamp switch suppressor are red, sure looks like a spare.

I was going over the wiring for the rear lamps, holy cow there's allot of splices. If there's no power on the green/purple wire I would check further upstream. Seems most of the splices are either under the steering wheel or near the blower.

Yea, it's pretty much over my head as far as following it with the rave. I followed the entire harness back to under the steering wheel and have not found the problem yet. It's very hard after it comes down the side post as it reintegrates with the main bundle again.

No the "entire" harness....... the bundle from the back specific to the lights...

Somebody had the exact same problem here, changed the brake light switch.

Have you checked your cruise control switch and system?

I checked the switch, it's good and I by-passed the switch and still no joy. I have not checked the cruise control switch. Will do that...

Update...after re-installing the brake switch...the brake lights now work but no running lights. I won't have time to troubleshoot till later today....
