How did you install the converter on the transmission?
I did not remove the converter from the transmission. All I did was disconnect the converter from the fly wheel and move transmission back. Then I removed the flywheel and replaced it with a new one. I guided the transmission back in to place and bolted the converter with the four bolts. The converter was never removed or messed with.

but the converter locks onto the transmission shaft twice, once and then another 90 degree for the second engagement.

if this does not happen, the truck will move for an undetermined time and then just stop, usual because the splines have stripped on the shaft.

I hopefully this is not you issue, but it is a common mistake.

just because you can see the convert spinning it does not mean it is pumping fuild
So what does it mean if it does not engage parking. I move the selector to parking and with all 4 tires of the ground I can freely move all of them. Any help or advice would be appriciated! Where I'm from there isn't many land rovers so my options up to this point are 1) swap the transmission with another one 2)take it to the dealer or 3) take to a very expensive land rover specialist. Honestly of all three I rather swap the transmission. But I'd be a shame a waste if this one is repairable.
