Good Deal??
I'm lookin at buying a 99 discovery with 115k mi. The price on it is $7988. Just wondering from someone who knows a little more bout these cars if that is reasonable. Also I would REALLY appreciate it if somebody could get a carfax report for me I don't wanna buy a lemon! VIN is SALJY1240XA561900

I just bought my 99 a few months ago...check www.edmunds.com & your local paper to get a feel for what the fair market value is
Pay your mechanic to go over it...it's worth it. I didn't as I know just enough to be dangerous. Mine has 99K miles & a main seal & gearbox leak which I'll have to repair eventually. Shouldn't be leaking at this mileage but oh well.
As far as CARFAX goes...pay the $20 & be done with it!
