Help! 2002 Disco 2. Timing chain destroyed. Have all new parts. However, how do I set the engine up for correct timing? How do I verify TDC and valve train match up for the new chain and gears? I tried looking on YouTube and threads and can't find any details on timing set up.

 

There will be a mark on the surface of each gear, crank and timing chain gear. Rotate crank until mark is on top and rotate cam until mark is down. Use a straight edge to be sure they are lined up, if you don't feel comfortable just eyeing it up.
