Default Hawkeye shows code 1590 - what now?

I recently purchased my first landy. She's in great shape and runs smoothly but her 3 amigo lights were on.

I bought the Hawkeye tool in hopes of narrowing down where I should start the repairs. It only threw code 1590 but the code will not clear. It is a rough road code as I'm sure y'all know.

What is my next step? Is there any additional information the Hawkeye can give me to narrow down where to start repairs? If not, any suggestions where I should start checking?

My breaks squek as well and my cruise control is not working. I recently replaced the belt and water pump Not sure if any of that is relevant.

Many thanks for any guidance you can give me!!

Will the Hawkeye let you look at the output from each wheel speed sensor? If so, I would see if any of them are acting up, ie dropping in/out etc. I think the SLABS ecu looks for erratic speed sensor inputs to determine "rough road" conditions. If one is failing and sending an intermittent signal I could see that being an issue. Not at all familiar with the Hawkeye though so I'm not sure what it will let you monitor.

So you've read the engine codes. Now read the ABS codes.

Default ABS faults

Still fumbling around using the Hawkeye.

Got fault 4114 for shuttle valve switch failure (electronic)

and fault 4084 for HISTORICAL sensor - right hand front (driving, broken wire)

Neither of these would clear either.

I'll inspect each area this weekend and will hope to get away replacing the ABS front and ABS Modulator Shuttle Valve Switch.

Thanks for having me go back and take a second look for the ABS menu. . . seems glaringly obvious now!

Interesting. I believe that the hawkeye can get live data from the abs computer for individual wheel speed. You might see what it shows for that particular wheel when driving down the road, compared to the others. If it doesn't clear, and doesn't show good data, you're probably looking at a sensor.

The shuttle valve switch error is the repair listed at the top of the D2 forum, on this site, in the stickies.
