Default Heater Core Replacement

Hello, Last time I drove my 1999 Discovery II, steam started blowing out the vents into the cab and coolant was leaking onto the passenger side floor. I was told this is probably a blown heater core. Anybody have any ideas if it could be anything else?
Also, I was told that there are some shortcuts to replacing it, rather than ripping apart the whole fascia to get to it. Any thoughts on that?
If anyone wants to buy it, I'm opento that too. If I can't fix it myself, I definitely can't afford to take it to the shop. I'll consider any offers. Thanks.

Default RE: Heater Core Replacement

Worse case, you can always by pass the heater core, then spend some time cleaning up your carpets and drying them out so they won't grow mold.
