Default Help on fuel pump replacement

Hello,

I have a 2002 Disco II that needs to have the fuel pump replaced. Does anyone know a good how to guide on the internet that I could utilize? Also, from what I've read so far, it appears the pump can be accessed through a panel in the cargo area? Is this correct?

Thanks for any help.

That write up is in the DI section but it also applies to the DII.

How do you know your pump needs to be replaced, what is your truck doing wrong, is your check engine light on?

Mike,

The issue is it starts fine cold and I'll drive it a while get back in and it will not start. It just keeps turning over. If I let it cool down it will start. Also at times it will just stop running. I drive down the road and it will cut off. No check engine light.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

That is a typical Rover crank sensor failing. Look at the money you just saved!!!
