Hitachi Compressor Intermittent - fault/why?
Dear Helpful Forum members:
I have a 2006 RR Sport. After years of slow compressor running, the RR suspension faults started. So, replaced with equivalent Hitachi Compressor. Immediately after installation car worked fine (Super excited). However, it began to throw faults again and the Compressor would not turn on. So, after days of frustration I succumbed to local dealer for help. After about 300 bucks of diagnostics they could not seem to figure off why the compressor would sometimes turn on (no faults) and sometimes not turn on (fault).
Checked Battery seemed to be okay. Call vendor of Hitachi Compressor and they suggested going back to old relay (which I did). Since then, same on/off scenario. Seems to imply a)compressor is not getting signal to turn on reliably OR b) I have a bad compressor (even though I bought it new)?
Dealer (who also may have a ice cream truck on the weekends) suggested it only creates the faults in the morning when the car has not been running. Seems like he is grasping at straws. He also said he has never seen this failure before ever.
Any wisdom or pieces of sage advice welcomed?
Thanks
