dusty, to do so i have to pull the heads and then they just drop in or press fit?

not that simple for top hat liners. best done at a machine shop.
the only option that is diy with the block in place is to pin the liners in place

Ok so heres a question, i have a friend who told me that i believe it was Buick (?) that made the 4.0 motor? said it was like a 215 or something or other? any ideas? anyways if there is something like that out there, could i just use that instead of using a "land rover" motor? and not have to do a wiring harness swap and computer swap?

The original Rover 3.5 NA engine was developed from a Buick 5.25 engine so I doubt much is the same on the 4.0L. As for harnesses I can't comment.
