Default Hose came off thermostat

I was driving didn’t see anything wrong pulled in to store. Started to smell radiator fluid looked to the front of my car and seen fluid coming out the bottom. Opened the hood. The hose that connects from the bleeder valve to the thermostat had popped of the top of the thermostat. I replaced the thermostat on the spot put coolant in and bleed the air out and drove home (not a far distance about 3 miles no issues). I knew I needed to replace the thermostat but what would cause the hose to come off? And should I be worried about replacing anything else. Also to add it didn’t over heat. I caught it just in time.

i would be checking to see if the hoses get really hard when the truck has been running. that can indicate over-pressurisation from a head gasket leak.

Will do while checking is there anything I should be aware of or look for. I’m hoping it’s not a head gasket I really do have the means to fix that right at the moment.

it could also just be that the hose clamp was loose and it worked its way free over time. but check for excessive pressure just to be sure.

It could be a combo of things, obviously the clamps and hose are getting old and it could be your cooling system was starting to build pressure due to a leak. I had my hoses blow off my T stat last year and changed all clamps to worm drive.
