Default How can I get 35" tires on a 2004 Disco!

What it is Land Rover Forums!

I have a 2004 Disco stock right now.
I want to have 35" inch tires on this bad boy.
What do I need to get them on there?
I heard that you can get them on with a 2" suspension lift and 2" spacers.

that lift will give you the clearance you need for them. I would check tirerack.com or treadwright.com if you'd be interested in re-treads. I've heard good things about them from people even on this forum. Pictures when it's done

What do you mean by take out your diffs?
Do you mean I can't use my CDL?

To be honest I really don't fully understand why this happens, but when you run tires that big on a Disco, the diffs aren't strong enough to handle it and they can and probably will break. Mike, if you would go into further detail for me, I'd also like to know more.

I know this is off topic but.
I don't want to start thousands of threads.

Anyone hook up a CB radio and external car speaker?

I'm seriously thinking about buying this

http://www.cobra.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_I D=419&category_ID=30

Can anyone tell me if that speaker is waterproof and how many I will need and where to mount externally.
And pretty much how to install all of this lol.

No, I mean the spider gears in each of your diffs are too light duty, only to gear when you need at least 4 HD gears to handle the torque. You will nee to throw in lockers to prvent a failure.
