Default How to disable the sls and height sensor alarm help !!

Hi - We have just had our Discovery 2003 commercial model, replaced from Air bag suspension to springs.

All is fine, except the SLS seems to still be trying to kick in as the suspenion is now slightly higher.

The mechanic has removed to fuses out of the main box for the rear suspension, but the SLS was still kicking in. So he has disconnected the wires underneath which has stopped this.

however the HEIGHT SENSOR ALARM and SLS AMBER LIGHT are now on full time !!!!!

How can we disable this, as I can only see that the FUSE number 28 controls the SLS, but this also controls the ABS ! so cant remove that one !

Is it possible to simply remove the HEIGHT SENSOR MULTIPLUG ?

Please help Thanks Tina

Yoiu can slow that problem down by removing your SLS relay under the hood, but to totally turn it off you must have a mechanic with the proper computer, with Rover software, shut it off thru the ECU.
By the way, there is no such thing as a commerical Disco, do you have a bare bones "S" model?

Hi thanks for the reply, To be honest I have no idea if its the S ! Its a Discovery TD5 Commercial. he has already removed the 2 relays under the hood, which certainly slowed it down, but didnt stop it entirely.... and this is draining the battery, hence why he disconnected them underneath. But I just need the alarm and sensor disabled. Tina

Actually, yes there is, in the rest of the world, it is bare bones, some dont have rear windows (picture a passenger van without the panels cut out for the glass), some dont have a back seat, so yes, outside of the US there is a commercial Discovery, and a commercial LR3, and I even think a LR4.

Can you post a pic of your truck for us here in the US?
We dont get those versions over here, all we get are loaded out super lux models that spend more time at the mall then working.

Mike, I think you need to read more carefully, somehow I don't think Tina is a he (could be wrong tho) It would be nice if everyone at least put a country in their profile (city and state would be better but country would at least give us a hint on their Rover option availability)
