how to lock in cdl in 99 disco ?

Default how to lock in cdl in 99 disco ?

If anyone knows how to lock in the cdl in a 99 disco , please tell me . to buy the cdl lever alone is about 1000 dollars in oz . And then fitting

D1 or D2? in the states a 99 can be both. if its a D2 then you can get under the truck and lock it with a wrench. Do it a few times and you can get pretty proficient i hear.

get a used one from a d1 that is junked.

you say A JUNKED or trashed as we say in oz < though we call our rubbish , Rubbish > strange but i have been told that a d1 cdl will not fit a d2 has anyone done or does it fit and am I getting wrong info here

What Hilltopper means is get the CDL shifter from a DI that has been scrapped because of a bad engine, totaled in a accident, etc.
The CDL shifter and linkage will still be good.
And yes, the DI CDL shifter will fit a DII, you could even use a DI transfer case, bolts right up and it is the same t-case as you have now, only they left the CDL linkage out.

Who's the guy that used an extension and socket, double nutted the cdlshaft, drilled a hole thru the console and hid it all under the console mat? Genius!
