I have a knocking noise on near side front and I believe it may be the suspension, but it is not on the steering. Someone suggested I put on new drop arms, which I have but it has made no difference. When you jack it up the noise disappears for about 5 miles and then returns. Someone else has now suggested changing the ball joint, but I can't keep just changing parts. Does anyone have any ideas what to do next. The noise seems to comes from the footwell on the near side front. No garage can seem to find the problem. It has just had a full mot and no problem found. It is not a squeak but a definite knocking noise and it is driving me crazy. Any suggestions? Could it be macfearson strut
