I am having the head gasket replaced due to a coolant leak the shop wants $880 labor and $ 450 for parts? reasonable or rape? the a/c compressor is also bad they want $700 parts and $300 labor. give me some feedback please

 

Great price for head gaskets (there are two) horrible price for the a/c compressor.

 

Great price for the head gasket job. One of my buddies had the job done for $2,400 at an independent shop. I recommend clarifying with the shop on the specific work which they will perform for the price (e.g., machine the head?)
