Knocking sound coming from Freelander 2 engine bay
Hi, I have recently brought a 2008 Freelander 2. A knocking sound has developed in the engine bay.
The sound only appears when the engine is idling, the sound disappears when my foot is on the accelerator or when the car is parked on an incline or decline, sound wired I know. The sound comes from the left side of the engine bay.
A list of probable problems would a massive help, so I can go through the process of elimination.
Thanks Jack.

First problem is you bought a Freelander, the list of problems from there is a mile long. My advise is quickly apply the above sign
Good Luck!

Hi Jack. Did you get a response to this problem? Really interested cos my 2007 FL2 has the EXACT same issue. Irregular knocking coming from the left hand side of engine bay!
Help would be greatly appreciated!
