Hi, I am new to the forum. I have a 2000 discovery II. My head unit got fried due to a leak from my winshield. I have sourced a replacement head unit and it is from a 2001. Is this compatible because they look the same. This is the Alpine built head unit that controls the cd changer.

Yes, it is, did you get the new radios security code number, if not, you'll not be able to activate the radio once installed.
