Default LR3 nav help please

Just picked up my new to me 2008 LR3 yesterday and i am having difficulties with the nav system , After inputting an address or selecting a poi i push to calculate and i get a message box that reads "unable to calculate" the nav seems to work otherwise and as i watch the map while driving it shows me in the correct position on the road . I stopped by the dealer who confirmed that i was pushing the correct buttons and so ruled out opperator error but was unable to help further than that as i couldnt leave the vehicle .
Any ideas?
Thanks

Navigation unit is most likely locked up. The DVD drive under the drivers seat.

Yes, that is the NAV unit. Make sure you eject your old disc before removing it.

Wink Nav problem

Remove and check the DVD disc from your nav unit. If the part # on the label is 6H42-10E898-BB there may be a software error. LR had a service bulletin on this. They recommend replace with disc #
6H42-10E898-BD (labeled '2009-2010') or later. This disc can be purchased through a Land Rover dealer.
