I have just ordered a MFU for my truck. The fuse kept blowing and the wipers would come on when I opened the door.

Is there any testing that I need to do before I install the new unit to make sure there are no shorts that might burn the new (newer) one up?

I have taken the fuse panel out and inspected it and check for general shorts with a test light at the battery and there doesn't seem to be any problems.
