National Lube Your Hood Cable Weekend!

Yes, once again many Rover owners, armed with spray lube, will protect their sanity by lubing both ends of the hood cable. While the bonnet is up, they'll check fluid levels, and give the main fan a spin to check the fan clutch. If you have not been under the hood for a while, I would point out that in the owner manual Rover instructs you to check oil level every 250 miles. This is to be sure the underbody anti corrosion system is fully functional.
Once you raise the hood it opens a whole world of things to be checked and tinkered with. If the hood stays down, the Rover gods are not happy.
