I picked this shortblock up recently at an auction, but don't know how to ID a GEMS or Bosch setup. It's a brand new import shortblock, with the ID of the following

MCT1891

4.0 H/C Short Motor (plus)

If I remember right there is no difference besides the electronics. In other words the same 4.0 base engine was used from 96-2002. Cant say for 100% though.

 

A guy was able to decipher the part code, so I guess I got my answer. Thanks for the help.
