I just installed new upper and lower ball joints and the hub is hard to move back and fourth. Im guessing it should move freely for steering or should it be tight? The old lower ball joint was real loose but the upper seemed okay minus the hashed seal.

 

You should have resistance otherwise the bump steer would be horrendous.
