Money's tight, and if you promise to start a fruit jar to save up for a new one, or what ever else will happen to your truck... My truck is put back together with some pre-owned parts, some new, no dealer purchased so far... but I'm not planning on towing a competitive chuck wagon to Calgary.
If you can get some use out of it fine, if you place your family or job at risk because of a break down, not so cheap. Plenty of people driving around with used radiators. But be prepared to get another one. And with the money you save buy an Ultra Gauge to keep an evil eye (and user programmed alarm) on the temperature.

Hey SB, I am going to take your original advice and just get a new one from the Canadian supplier I mentioned earlier. I just want to find out if that price of $338 is good or is there a cheaper source in the US. As I mentioned, I'm very near the border so having it shipped to Vermont is a definite possibility if there is a real savings. Let me know if you have any other parts sources you'd recommend I check out.
thanks man.

That shouldn't be a problem. I was crossing the border from Detroit to Windsor this summer and when we arrived at the border, the guard was literally, literally sleeping as we rolled up to the booth. His chin was in his hands, elbows on the counter, so as we approached the booth, it looked like he was reading a book. We sat there for about a minute looking at him in disbelief. Nice.... I sleep well knowing our borders are safe.
$200 radiators...where do I sign up?

Ok, no yeling. Because of financial constraints, I had to go for a used rad. I noticed that the rad I bought, which came off of a 2000 Diso 2, has a plug or sensor. That plug or sensor doesn't seem to be on my existing rad.
Wondering if the rad presently on my truck (1999 Disco 2) is the wrong one or if the rad I just bought is for a different year Disco 2.
I have attached two pic of the new rad.
Any ideas?
