Default No overdrive!

So, I fixed my cooling system which necessitated removing the radiator and now my tranny won't go into overdrive. Trans fluid was a little low, but it still won't shift. It was working fine before the repair. Am I missing some special Land Rover-only step? This is frustrating and any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Does it show D on the dash? It won't shift into over drive (4th gear) unless the computer thinks you are in drive. If the xyz is out of adjustment, it might think you are in 3.

Are you checking the level while the engine is running?

I am in "D" and I checked the level with the truck running and in park. The truck was later allowed to cool down, the fluid rechecked and filled, but it still won't shift.

Won't shft at all? Like it stays in just one gear? Or are you saying it just won't shift into the last gear?

It stops shifting after third. It won't go into overdrive. I took the truck to 60+ mph and it would not shift into OD.

This makes no sense, it was fine before, now its not.
I need to think about this for a few.
Have you tried shifting into neutral and then trying to drive?
Maybe the shift linkage got moved and you are actually in 3rd gear and not in 4th on the gear selector?

To clear a few things up, there is no XYZ switch on a DI, totally mechanical transmission.
There is no gear indicator on the dash of a DI either.

Oh. I forgot where I was. Thanks for pointing that out spike. Yeah. It's probably something like the cable needs adjusted since there is no computer wizardry on d1.

Yes, Spike, I actually cycled through all the gear positions. No effect. Cable was already eliminated as a possibility. We're thinking that fluid may still be the culprit. My brother is going through it again tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'll get back to you guys with the update asap.

You put Dexron III in it right?
Not Dex D or anything else right?
