Default Non ACE PS Fluid

Ok... Searching on the web for this answer has left me more confused than when I started looking for the answer.

2003 D2 with no ACE system.
Is it ok to use the same Dexron 3 ATF fluid I plan to use to fill my torque converter & trans, for the power steering pump?

Im going to have to purchase a big jug of ATF and am hoping not to have to buy some special PS Fluid from the dealer.

Thanks

ATF should not be used for the power steering, but you don't need to use dealer-specific PS fluid.

Ill take that info and play it safe. Power steering fluid for the Power steering pump, and transmission fluid for the transmission lol.

Thanks!
