We have just purchased our first Landrover after years of wanting one. It is a 52 plate Discovery TD5 S.
We have discovered that when you turn on the head lights the dash does not illuminate up and the headlight light does not come on. The head lights work fine. We cannot seem to see anything in the manual. So when driving at night we can see any speed etc.

We have also looked up the MOT history on it as it had an advisory (which we were not told about). It failed a test on the 13/10/09 because of Nearside front to bake brake pipe excessively corroded and the same the other side. 3 days later it passed so I guess or hope they had it done. there were advisory's still these being.
1. Nearside front track rod end ball joint slight play
2. Offside '' '' '' '' '' ''
3.Offside front top and bottom suspension arm slight play in ball joint

Could someone tell us if this is a major disaster, usual and more so very very expensive.
we have tried contacting the seller again, but hey guess what, no return of calls or emails...
