Question P38 2,5 DSE BMW-timing?

Situation: Lower timing Chain broke. All valves bent. Repairs: New valves, chains, guides and tensioners assembled.
Problem: No visible "dimple" or mark on the double sprocket Wheel -to align with "Bright" marked links on lower timing Chain. Fuel Injection Pump sprocket Wheel has marks "6" and "4".
Placing lower chain-sprocket -assembly on crankshaft and FIPshaft, "Bright" Chain link must be moved one link, to be able to enter the FIPsprocket over axle splint. Can that be correct, or should FIP be forced to a "half-position"?
