hi! i'm a new owner of a 99 disco 1 with a car stereo with little volume. i went to get a new system but was told that the whole car would have to be re wired cause everything is intigrated. the volume of the stereo is so low even at it's highest! help!!!!!!

Did you try to raise the volume up with the buttons on the side of the instrument bezel? Just hold the up one till it max's out, then use the **** on the radio.

you are the bomb!!!!!!!!! now you think that the owners manual i just bought for 50.00 would have told me that!!!!!!! nothing in the book even remotely resembles the dash in my car.... so glad i found this forum. my other car is a 85 volvo wagon in primo condition. THAT car i know inside and out!!! oh, is it possible to replace the radio or am i tempting fate?

It is possiable, but a lot of work, you pretty much need to change the speakers out too. You can run new wiring or use existing if you can figure out which wires are what. and the factory amp won't work as well.

so I take it you were able to get the volume working?
