Hello all:
The factory tape deck in my 99 Disco I has static/whine through the speakers when the unit is off but no problems when the radio is on. I am aware of aftermarket filters etc., but since this is a stock deck, must be something causing the noise?
Also, I really want to rip it out & install a Kenwood CD player I have but cannot locate an aftermarket install kit (no luck w/ Crutchfield...the easiest route of course!). Anyone found a custom one (in lieu of the universal fit harness, etc. you can buy anywhere)?
