Bon Ami powder will do it... you can find it near the comet or ajax or bartender's friend in your grocery store.
I've heard that Bon Ami is recommend by BMW for general windshield cleaning but don't know if that's true or not.

I would suggest you stay away from any of the abrasive powders, use a HD liquid dish soap, wet the windshield and apply the saop while using a SOFT spung, then wash it off.
Just out of curiosity, why are you wanting to remove it?

Good point Mike, I should have been more explicit... there are two kinds of Bon Ami... Powder and Polishing Cleanser (check here: http://www.bonami.com/products/) . The "Powder" that I mentioned is specifically for glass, mirrors, etc... whereas the Polishing Cleanser is not.
