Default Range Rover classic floods out?

1995 Classic ran perfect parked it over night now it has a problem. It will start and run great, but if you tap the gas pedal just a hair a few times "8-10 time" it sounds like it floods out and will die.You can smell gas. "I mean you just tap the gas a hair a few time" It wont start back up unless you wait a while or up to an hour or pull the fuse on the fuel pump then it will fire right up again. It will do it if it's warmed up cold you tap the gas a few times it dies. It will also change idle speeds any where for 1200RPM down to 400RPM then will settle on about 800RPM.
I replaced, plugs, wires, 02, catalytic converts, fuel pressure regulator.
I can hear the fuel pump, the fuel pressure is good.
Maybe Injectors?
Thanks

Have you actually put a gauge on to check fuel pressure?

How about spark? Maybe a bad ignition amplifier?

Yes tested the fuel pressure, sparks looks good, new coil.
How do I test the ignition amplifier?
Thanks

Do you have the factory service manual, or RAVE, the electronic version? If so, in the Range Rover Classic section, work shop manual, electrical, there should be a section "LUCAS CONSTANT ENERGY IGNITION SYSTEM - V8i" that gives some troubleshooting help. The problem I have seen though is that the amp only fails when hot, so it will test good if you test it cold.

It all seems to check out fine according to RAVE. Could it be a injectors?

Maybe wiring for injectors, they all get +12 volts and each gets ground from the ECU to fire. So a bad wiring connection, etc. Shake the harness.

There all getting 12v seems good. I swapped back to factory injectors and it's worse, it will start kind-a-of starts and never really gains rpm's. You press the gas it just dies. Then you can crank on it and crank on it then it will do the same thing just barely run. Then after a minute or so it will go to idle speed, then the same thing happens tap the gas a few times it dies, but faster with old injectors.
Shout I swap out computers? I have another one but I think it's for a 3.9L.
