Default Rear automatic locks stopped working

I have an '03 Discovery. Just over 50,000 miles, so warranty is up. Last week my rear automatic locks stopped working. Any ideas what may have caused this? Remedies? I'd love to fix this myself.

Does it move at all, make any noise when you try to lock or unlock the doors?
Here is the best place to go for a good guaranteed used part if needed, less then the dealer.

It does make noise like it's trying to unlock. If I want to lock it, I have to do it manually. If I want to unlock it, I have to pull on the door handle on the inside to unlock then again to open the door.

You may want to clean the lock and linkage before you start throwing parts at it.

I just doubled checked...the locks aren't making any noise when trying to unlock. Does that makea difference?

Assuming you have power to the lock actuator, and it is not working then a replacement will be necessary.
