Okay, for those of you who live in the states (I can't speak for the UK or elsewhere . . .), you are painfully aware of the awful adhesive the dealers use to stick those temporary paper licenses in the back window of your car. Well I've got that in the rear of my Disco, and I really want it gone.

Normally, I'd just use some WD-40 to dissolve it, but I'm concerned about the defroster. Does anyone know if WD-40 will damage the wires (or how they are adhered), and if so is there something that will work better? Thanks in advance!

if its on glass..NOT A PAINTED SURFACE...brake clean, when applied very lightly to a rag, wil wipe ANYTHING off.including paint.

 

even window tint?

 

hmmmm..it may discolor aftermarket window tinting..

 

Goo Gone or any citrus based window cleaner.

 

i didnt mean to mislead anyone about the brake cleaner...sorry if i did...it does work, but it eats everything...it may hurt tinting...
