Default Replaced Thermostat - Now it won't run properly

Hi! I am a new (used) Land Rover Owner. I have had my 2004 Land Rover Discovery for 3 months and I love it!! Last week I was on my way to work and was stopped at a construction area. I noticed that my heat wouldn't blow hot air. My Rover started to overheat. I pulled over immediately and kept it from the red. I got it back home without overheating and begin the process of diagnosing the problem. The thermostat was bad. I ordered a new one, put it in and made sure to bleed the lines to make sure it wasn't air locked. It will now run for 10 minutes, not overheat but chokes out and quits running.

Any thoughts?
