This was weird because during the weekend I was crawling around under my Disco tightening up bolts and my wife said "What if those stands collapse?" I said "Then you'll be a rich woman." 2 days later I received the email recall notice for my Pittsburgh 6Ton stands.

BLUF... Harbor Freight requests discontinuing use of the 3 Ton Heavy Duty Steel Jack Stands (models 61196 or 56371) and 6 Ton Heavy Duty Steel Jack Stands (model 61197). Return them to the store for a gift card equal to the amount of the retail price.

I actually had a HF older Orange Jack Stand fail...................

I was removing a 2inch OME lift from an 04 I bought cheap, and installing all the off road goodies onto my 99 D2. I basically had 2 D2's on just the Jack Stands for probably 2hr. I was done and raising the 04 with a jack when I heard a CLUNK.... I was like wth... I then found one of the orange jack stands had dropped. I inspected it, and the roll pin used to hold a part of it had completely snapped in half! I immediately took them back and HF handed me a new set which apparently is now recalled as well. I think I'll return these and grab myself a better brand. Of coarse that is hard since 80% of them come from the same assembly line.
