Sagging springs?

Default Sagging springs?

My 2004 D2 still has the original 11 year old springs. How do I determine how much it's sagged?

I thought of using a broomstick across the roof rails and measuring the hight from there. Any pro or con for this?

Measure from the center of the wheel to the fender lip. Post the measurement and we should be able to get you a solid answer.

Thanks! Ok here are the numbers:

FD- 19.25 FP- 19.25
RD- 18.75 RP- 19.0

all measurements in inches.

Not that bad really you have lost about .5-.75 of a inch all around

Thanks! On the visor it says that to the top of the roof rails it should be 78 inches. when I measure this with my broomstick method I get 76.75 inches. And I am running standard road tires (255 55 r18). I know that this is not a good way but it makes me wonder.

could this drop cause binding in the drive shaft? Or in anything else?

Anyway, I know I want to lift my D2.. but I need to find a job first. I think I just need to do it and get it over with already....

My D1 is 18 up front, 18.75 in the rear with a full tank...($1.59 yesterday, mid grade)...I too need to think about a lift soon!

Could my .25 in the rear spring cause poor highway alignment?
