Default SAI delete??

Well first id like to say that I am back in the Rover world!! I had a 98 D1 in high school (4-5 yeArs ago) and I had to move on to big trucks.. I recently moved in town and wanted a smaller DD so I found an '03 D2 with blown gaskets for $1000 locally... Talked him down to $500 and threw it on the trailer.... Had the heads off in an hour and 45 min to find both gaskets failed... No problem but also rear driver piston slightly melted.. Minimal damage to the cylinder wall. I'll have the motor out tomorrow and replace the piston and put a good cross hatch on the cylinder.

SAI. However in the process of re installing I want to do away with this system.. I live in FL and we have no emission laws plus I don't plan on selling.. All the posts I have seen came down to no resolution because of emissions. Anyhow can I plug the ports in the head and call it a day or what do I need to do? Also will it run like crap or will the CEL just be on? Any support would be greatly appreciated. Very excited to be back in the LR game!

CEL will definitely be on. The SAI works to get the cats hot to get the system into open loop from what I understand. Not sure how much this relates to performance. It only comes on on mine at first startup.

SAI supposedly can be deleted w/o driveability issues. As said warning/codes will be presented and various ways to deal with them.
