I've just replaced the disc in my LR3 satnav. It started to work immediately without the unit uploading any information, or updating. Is this normal please, or should it have gone through some prolonged updating procedure? ? The reason I'm asking is because the map doesn't look any different from the one I'm replacing so I'm not sure if the new map is actually working.

 

Depends on what disc you went from. On my LR3 I had 06 disc & when I put in the 2016 disc it did change a lot. I think 2010-2016 was pretty much the same with 05-09 being older so more changes.
