The one is Vermont is definitely a better deal. Comes bunch or new or replacement parts to so I'll look more into that one instead. Thanks for the advice. I knew this truck would be a long shot but wanted to get a second opinion before I made my decision. Still it's sad to see this classic rover go...

Yeah, $1,000 is waaaay too much. It's only worth what you could scrap it for. Scrap autos are going for $210/ton right now. If you really has your heart set, nothing over $200. But for the time and work you'd put in, not worth it in my book.
Remember, there's always another car. Even with a harder to find Series, there will always be another one (Spike already found you one!).
Might be a good donor if you got it as close to free as possible. Or a good boat mooring anchor.
