Default shaking while turning

my 95 disco shudders when turning at 50 mph or so, as soon as I let off the accelerator it stops. It does the same kind of shaking while turning in parking lots and such. Any ideas? I've recently had the tires balanced and rotated. thanks for the help guys

Default RE: shaking while turning

HI have had a problem like this on a few discos of this age , the faults ranged from worn wheel bearings to disstorted rotors.you could start by checking the panhard rod bushes , these are located at the front of the axle ,its the bar that links the body to the axle, make sure the bolts are very tight and that the bushes are ok .If thats not it you can have the free play checked onthe steering box ,then check out the drag on the front swivels this must be checked with the steering links dissconected ,if they are real sloppy and loose this could be the problem. They can be adjusted by removing the top pin and clearing out some of the shims, this takes time and patience.Let me know how you do ,Paul in the uk
