Small radio problem with cassette/mp3 player
Hello everyone, I just bought a Land Rover Discovery and I love it! I just have one small problem. The radio is working great and my car only has a cassette player. So I bought a Philip's cassette that hooks on to any mp3 player. It was working flawlessly until today. While I was driving and listening to some music, it just automatically stopped and ejected its self out and the screen now has the number 2 on it? I don't know if it's something I hit on accident, but every time I try to put it in, it won't work and just ejects its self back out. If anyone knows what's the problem, please let me know. I appreciate your help!

It sounds like a tension issue on the cassette adapter. The LR has an autoreverse cassette player (the number 2 means side 2) and when the spool mechanism (unsure the exact phrase) senses tension on the tape spool it knows that the side has ended and flips to the other side. If the tension remains high then the cassette player thinks the tape is bad and ejects it.
I would check the tension on the reels (if they are present and not just empty holes.) I would also suggest trying to play a standard cassette to see if it works.
If you need one I have the factory radio from a '96 and the cd changer that belongs under the passenger seat.
