Sos!
Hi everyone,
I've hit a wall and need help.
The D2 has about 160,000 miles on it and I have replaced the MAF, Coils (twice-one set was eBay cheapo and the second was OEM), plug wires (STI 8MM silicone), plugs (bosch 4+), new exhaust manifolds, Magana flow y pipe, cats and tail pipe, new OEM )2 sensors, new air cleaner, new upper plenum intake manifold & throttle body gaskets, new valve cover gaskets.
Before all of the above items were replaced, I was getting misfire codes on 1-5-7-4-6-8 cylinders, 0447, with a 1300 to boot. I've eliminated all but the 4 & 6 misfires w/1300 and can't figure a fix. I am getting a solid blue spark on both plugs, although they are both carbon fouled (which tells me rich mixture in the injector or fuel delivery) I haven't looked at the other plugs though to compare.
I am going to replace the CPS and then check the fuel pump along with the fuses.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Greg

Woooooooohooooooo!
The injector o-rings were the issue. When I removed the fuel rail and the injectors, most of the o-rings were cracked.
I cleaned-up the injectors and replaced the o-rings. Carefully replacing the top-end of the engine. Connected the battery, crossed my fingers and turned the key...she fired-up and roared back to life! What a great feeling driving my D2 again. I've been working on my D2 all summer and today, victory is mine!
Thanks to all the replies and suggestions, especially Disco Mike!
Now it's accessory time!
